Corey S. Pressman (Studio #3)
Corey S. Pressman is an artist, author, and university professor living in the Pacific Northwest. He is a member/owner of Portland’s Blackfish Gallery and shows at various galleries and public collections around the country. Corey has pioneered a method of mark-making he calls "waxed powder painting" and facilitates workshops on this method at PNCA and elsewhere. He has published academic works, stories, and poetry. Corey teaches in the Integrative Health and Wellness program at University of Portland.
Corey employs a unique method of painting with powdered pigment and beeswax to create works that combine fragments of the quotidian to document self transcendence.
