Courtney Blaskower (Studio #39)
I have been painting for 25 years, drawn to oil painting as a constant through my exploration of various mediums. Art is both meditation and necessity, offering a space for focus beyond the noise of everyday life and endless problem-solving. My work navigates the tension between containment and vastness, control and release. Open spaces, interior structures, literal and abstract forms evoke themes of escape, isolation, and transformation.
At its core, my practice is about permission: to escape, to stay, to break apart, to rebuild. My work is deeply personal yet open-ended, inviting viewers to engage with their own interpretations and emotions.
