Information for our 2025 Participating Artists
Our Passport Program
Our Passport program is a creative way for us to learn information about our visitors.
Here’s how it works: First, YOU hand them out to interested visitors, and initial the square with your studio number.
If a visitor has already has a passport, initial your studio number.
Remind visitors to turn in their Passport at the last studio they visit.
Be sure they have written their email on their Passport!
At the end of the tour, all Passports will be entered into a drawing for a $100 gift certificate for a purchase from any artist on the tour.
(Passports are available for pick up or you can print them out yourself. See instructions above.)
Help Expand Our Email List
The more emails we get out there, the more people know about the tour. If someone isn’t in our Passport Program, encourage visitors to sign up via our website, OR have a sign up sheet in view. You may consider having two sign up sheets, one for you, and one for us.
Collect Additional Information
Any help understanding our audience is very appreciated! In addition to collecting emails for our list, ask your visitors how they heard about our tour. Get as specific as possible!

Prepare Your Space:
Whether you are using your studio or some other viewing space, be sure it is accessible and safe for visitors. Make it reasonably clean and set up for easy access and art viewing.
Consider and create any additional signage people may need to find your workspace. You may also want to have signs to keep people out of your personal space!
Label your art, or have a price list available for visitors.
Be sure they can pay you! Make it easy for people to buy your work. This may mean setting up Venmo, Paypal, Zelle, Square, or change for cash.
It may be a good idea to have an assistant. A friend or family member who can help you greet, direct, and process sales.
For Artists Sharing Studio Space:
If you are being hosted by someone, be a good guest! Communicate with your host and ask how you can contribute. Help with set up and clean up. Perhaps bring refreshments for your host and visitors.
If you are hosting other artists at your studio, be clear about your expectations and boundaries. Ask for help from your guest artists!
Plan Your Demo:
This year we want to emphasize demonstrations and hands-on participation as an aspect of the tour. Some ideas are:
Actively create art and demonstrate your art making process
Have an art piece that visitors can participate in creating, such as a painting in progress or a paper mural
Have a simple art project people can make and take with them
Opportunities for 2025 Participating Artists

Get Involved!
If you would like to have a positive effect on how the tour is run, consider getting involved.
We are a small, but effective crew, and we are always looking for more board members (especially representing West Linn!)
If you’re not up for a board position, but still want to help out, we will list here and on emails the different ways we could use a helping hand.
Additionally, if you or someone you know would like to be a sponsor, please email us at lakeoswegoopenstudios@gmail.com to learn about the levels and benefits of sponsorship.
