Caroline Sainis
Painting
Caroline Sainis is a cross-cultural folk artist working from her home studio in Lake Oswego, Oregon. Inspired by the folk traditions of India and the Americas, she creates vibrant, pattern-rich paintings that reimagine traditional motifs through birds, animals, and symbolic forms drawn from multiple cultures. Through bold color and rhythmic composition, her work suggests how stories travel, adapt, and take root in new places.
Working in both large-scale pieces and intimate small works, her evolving practice balances intricate detail with simple, joyful forms. Her paintings invite viewers of all ages to look closely, experience a sense of joy, and find beauty in connection.
Lilly C Parker
Jewelry
Lilly Parker is a Portland, OR–based metal smith known for her thoughtful craftsmanship and distinctive wearable art. Working in metal since 2012, she creates one-of-a-kind pieces shaped by emotion, intuition, and a love of organic, understated design rooted in her childhood. Lilly combines techniques including lost wax casting, hand fabrication, stone setting, and woodworking to bring depth and character to each piece. In contrast to mass production, her practice honors the tradition of handmade jewelry—embracing the time, precision, and care required to create work that reflects individuality and connection between maker and wearer.
Yelena Shabrova
Drawing
Yelena’s drawings express personal feelings in response to subjects that fascinates her. When choosing what to draw, it’s all about the character, the mood, and the sense of connection. Not only animals, but trees and rocks, marshes and grasses offer plenty of that. Capturing what’s behind the mere appearance is the most interesting part of her creative process.
Yelena uses colored pencil, pastel pencil, charcoal, graphite, pen and ink, oil pastel - any medium that is suitable for drawing is good. As for backgrounds in her mixed media pieces that feature subjects in pen and ink - literary anything goes.
Garrick Arnold
Painting
Based in Portland, Oregon, I've worked for many years professionally as a Graphic Designer, Marketing Director, and brand builder.Seeking a creative expression with the fewest limitations, I've arrived at abstract expressionist painting. The works of Sam Francis, Pollock, and many contemporaries inspire. Music, literature, science, and our shared pop-culture colors and imagery are grist for my creative mill. My technique is best described as controlled chaos and action painting, allowing the medium and moment to lead the way. The freedom of expression in abstract expressionist painting and the lack of an editor are thrilling and terrifying. An avid reader and explorer of thoughts and ideas from Zen to Quantum Physics, these fields deeply influence my present work.
