I am an artist and teacher whose work explores perception, material, and emergence. I developed a process called waxed powder painting, where dry pigments are applied and fixed with cold wax, preserving their luminosity and immediacy. My paintings invite slow looking and a sense of openness. My work is collected nationally and exhibited locally in a range of venues. I also lead workshops around the country. During Open Studios, I offer hands-on experiences in my Lake Oswego studio, inviting visitors to engage art as a tactile, lived process.Artist Statement
