Printmaking

My finished etchings start as sharpie and watercolor images drawn from direct observation in sketchbooks. I am interested in figurative and flora images. Sometimes the two are combined. the current collections are inspired from Oregon and Hawaii. Line quality, negative spaces, composition and textures are important to me. I work the compositions to a larger format than the sketchbooks, combining several drawings into one.

Settling down to work is a joy, being in the studio is never taken for granted.
