Gina Johnston
Jewelry, Metal
Originally a California native, Gina was transplanted to Australia as a child, then England as a teenager, igniting a lifetime of world travel. Every journey has left an imprint: a visual diary of color, texture and geometry that find their way into my creative pursuits. Along the way she discovered metal smithing, and it was love at first hammer blow. Her practice is driven by curiosity to experiment with the multitude of ways metal can be manipulated, whether through the application of color, patina, sheen, or texture. Gina work primarily in silver, but also frequently explore mixed metal, combining copper or brass into my compositions. She additionally worked in enamels which take on many forms including small dishes and wall art as well as jewelry. Her work benefits from a sense of architectural perspective as well as the occasional bit of whimsy.

Susan Thomas
Drawing, Painting, Pastel
Bright colors and strong, designs to pull you into Susan’s paintings and drawings--this is her goal. A series of 6 famous artists and their cats done last year led me to learn how to paint in the style of each artist, from Warhol to Klimt. Now, it's an exploration of Wayne Thiebaud and his use of white and blue shadows. The human face is also something Susan paints constantly from many different models. Pastel, charcoal, oil paint are used every week for this. She is amazed how Klimt's faces grabs your glance while surrounded by his intricate designs. Susan’s hand made cards with snarky sayings are a way to do this. She is a self taught artist taking classes at Oregon Society of artists, where she won Best of Show for their Fall Oil Painting Show.
M. Alexis Bomarito
Printmaking, Paper Art, Mixed Media
Alexis is a local Lake Oswego visual artist specializing in upcycled mixed media assemblage art using printmaking skills and thrifting passion to create imagery that incorporates winged creatures and the divine feminine with a touch of sacred geometry through the use of mandalas and the beauty of nature’s organic patterns. Her pieces tend to be small in size, but big in symbolism. The finished pieces are in several different forms; small scale canvases, art cards, jewelry, ornaments/danglelers, etc.
Alexis attended this past season’s LO 3rd Thursday artists pop ups where she held printing demos and the Oswego Heritage House and Mary’s Woods Holiday Bazaar. She also had works in the last 2 years LO Festival of the Arts.
