Barb Bourscheidt

Ceramics

I have been working in clay for about 60 years- as a nearly full time potter, or as a hobbyist. Now my relationship with clay fulfills my creative urge, and affords me the opportunity to work with my hands and engage with other ceramic artists.

I produce functional and decorative stone ware for kitchen, home and garden. My pieces reflect my love of nature thru shape and form and surface decoration. All work is microwave, dish washer and oven safe.

Ceramics

Working with clay allows me to embrace the imagination and creativity of my inner child. My pieces vary from seasonally inspired dish ware to figurative sculptures based on the elegance of the ethereal female body. No matter what I create, functional or decorative, each piece is formed with the joy, love and peace I find in ceramics.
