Star Spangled Parade & Celebration 

Friday, July 4 at Millennium Plaza Park

Purpose:  Promotional opportunity for LOOS and individual artists marching in the parade.  

Kasey Wanford (Board Secretary) will be your point of contact and will be marching with you.  We will have a 2’ x 10’ banner to carry and Kasey will need help with this!

Staging & Arrival Instructions:  Parade Staging at 8:15 a.m and ends at 9:45am

  • Staging begins at 8:15 a.m. at Lake Garden Court (off Iron Mountain boulevard). 

    • Late arrivals will not be allowed to participate.

    • Enter the staging area at Iron Mountain Blvd and Lake Garden Court — ONLY from Country Club Road. See attached map for details.

    • This entrance applies to anyone driving a float/vehicle or dropping off participants.

    • There is NO parking and walking children to the staging # along Lake Garden Court and Iron Mountain Blvd.

  • Please bring you lawn sign with your studio number (no metal stakes) 

  • Wear comfortable clothes (dress up if you so desire), good walking shoes and sun protection….water as needed

Parking Information:
If you plan to park and walk to the staging area, parking is available at the following locations. Please keep in mind parking is EXTREMELY LIMITED:

  • Christ Church Parish – 1060 Chandler Road

    • Please park at Christ Episcopal Church (1060 Chandler Road) and walk to parade staging in Lake Garden Court.  Walkers may be dropped off in the designated loading zone on Iron Mountain.  Staging Parking

  • Forest Hills Elementary – 1133 Andrews Road

  • Center for Spiritual Living – 1040 C Avenue

  • Lake Oswego Heritage House – 398 10th Street

Parking is extremely limited due to the parade. PLEASE DO NOT park at the follow locations:

  • A Avenue from 10th to 2nd Street, south only

  • 2nd Street between A Avenue & Evergreen Road, both east and west

  • Evergreen Road from 1st thru 4th Streets, both north and south

  • Iron Mtn Road between Chandler & Country Club, both east and west 

  • Country Club between 10th and Iron Mt. Blvd., both north & south 

Parade Route:  Parade Route
The parade begins at 10:00 AM, traveling from Iron Mountain Blvd to Chandler & 10th Street, onto A Avenue, and concluding at 2nd Street & Evergreen Road.

  • Vehicles/Floats: Turn right onto Evergreen Road after the parade ends.

  • Walkers: Turn left and disperse into the festival at Millennium Plaza Park.

  • Please see the attached map for detailed staging and route information.

Destination Celebration: Festivities continue at Millennium Plaza Park until 1:00 PM.  The celebration includes live music, on-site vendors, face painting, balloon twisting, and a pie eating contest.
